Access Health and Community
About the role
About Us
Access Health and Community (AccessHC) is a leading not-for-profit healthcare provider with over 150 years of experience delivering inclusive, person-centred care across Melbourne's inner and outer east and northeast.
With 600 staff and 200 volunteers across 17 locations, we offer a wide range of integrated services to support diverse communities. Following our May 2025 merger with Inspiro, we've expanded our reach into the Yarra Ranges and strengthened our commitment to accessible, high-quality community health services.
We are proud of our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), strong Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, and our respect for the rights, culture and contributions of First Nations peoples. At AccessHC, we are united by compassion, collaboration and community-led care to help people live healthier lives.
The Opportunity
Launch your career in Health Promotion with one of Victoria's leading community health organisations. This exciting graduate opportunity offers the chance to work alongside experienced health promotion professionals, community partners and local stakeholders to create healthier, more connected communities.
As a Graduate Health Promotion Practitioner, you will contribute to innovative population health initiatives, early years programs, health equity projects and prevention strategies that make a tangible difference across Boroondara, Manningham, Monash, Whitehorse and the Yarra Ranges. If you are passionate about health equity and systems change, this role provides the ideal foundation to develop your professional experience while creating positive community impact.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager Health Promotion, this Part-Time (0.6 EFT) Maximum Term position offers a unique opportunity for a recent graduate to build their career within a highly regarded health promotion team.
This role requires the flexibility and the opportunity to work across AccessHC locations of Hawthorn, Belgrave and Lilydale on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Working collaboratively with The Partnership comprising AccessHC, healthAbility and Link Health and Community, you will support the planning, delivery and evaluation of evidence-based health promotion initiatives aligned with the Community Health, Health Promotion (CHHP) Guidelines. A key focus of the role will be supporting projects within the Early Years setting, while contributing to broader prevention, wellbeing and community engagement activities.
You will engage with community organisations, local governments, educational settings and community members to develop sustainable approaches that improve health outcomes and address health inequities.
