Trade Assistant / Technical Fitter – Vehicle Accessories & Bullbars

W.A's leading bullbar manufacturer, Irvin Bullbars, is seeking an experienced and motivated Fitter to join our fitting team in Midvale. This is a permanent full-time role with excellent conditions, career progression, and the chance to work with an established and respected local employer.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

• Assemble, fit and install bullbars, undercarriage protection systems (FUPS), and other vehicle accessories.

• Interpret and work from technical drawings and job specifications to prepare, stage, and fit components.

• Align, adjust and test components to ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards.

• Use a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform fitting and assembly work.

• Carry out quality control checks and maintain accurate job records.

• Maintain and service tools and equipment used in fitting operations.

• Support workflow by collaborating with fabrication, warehouse, and quality control teams.

• Comply with all workplace health and safety (WHS) and housekeeping standards.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• A trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Automotive, or a related discipline (minimum Certificate III or equivalent).

• Demonstrated experience in mechanical fitting, assembly, or automotive accessory installation.

• A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in mechanical fitting or automotive-related roles.

• The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Experience using hand and power tools; welding experience will be highly regarded.

• Strong attention to detail, pride in workmanship, and a proactive approach to problem solving.

• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Australian work rights are required for this position.
