Mine Production Supervisor

Join CITIC Pacific Mining (CPM) and play a key leadership role at Sino Iron, Australia's largest magnetite mining operation.

We are seeking an experienced Mine Production Supervisor to lead our Load & Haul mining crews at Cape Preston. This permanent position is offered on a 2/1 continuous roster (days & nights), FIFO from Perth.

In this role, you’ll play a crucial role in managing all aspects of your crew fostering a culture of leadership, development, and team cohesion. You’ll have a passion for leadership, team development all while promoting a collaborative and supportive working environment.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Production leadership team - you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and performance of your crew.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage workforce requirements including attendance, leave and training
• Coach and develop team members to support crew performance
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with site standards
• Monitor production performance and identify improvement opportunities
• Complete incident reporting, investigations and workplace inspections
• Implement improvements to systems, processes and work practices
• Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company standards

About you

We are looking for an experienced frontline mining leader who can confidently lead a crew in a ultra class open pit mining environment.

You will have:

• Extensive experience in a similar Mining Supervisor / Production Supervisor role
• Strong experience in a Load & Haul mining environment
• Demonstrated leadership and people management capability
• Sound knowledge of large-scale open pit mining practices
• Working knowledge of relevant mining legislation and regulations
• Current manual drivers’ licence essential.
• Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor ticket essential.
• Senior First Aid essential.
• Unrestricted WA Quarry Managers Certificate highly desirable.
• Diploma in Surface Operation Management highly desirable.
