Registered Nurse

About the Role We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join a busy general practice in Mittagong. This permanent role offers a varied scope of clinical and administrative duties within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will be confident in chronic disease management, immunisation programs, wound care, and patient education, with excellent communication and time-management skills. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care in primary health settings, including assessment, treatment, and follow-up. Deliver immunisations, practice health checks, and routine clinical procedures such as wound dressing and ear syringing where required.

Support chronic disease management plans for patients with diabetes, COPD, heart disease and other long-term conditions. Perform point-of-care testing, phlebotomy, and ECGs in accordance with practice protocols. Provide health promotion, patient education, and preventive care advice tailored to individual needs.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to patient records with attention to privacy and confidentiality. Assist with triage, telephone advice, and coordination of care with GPs and allied health professionals. Support practice quality improvement initiatives, accreditation processes and infection control practices.

Skills and Qualifications Current Australian registration as a Registered Nurse (AHPRA). Experience in primary care or general practice nursing preferred but enthusiastic early-career nurses will be considered. Demonstrated ability to perform clinical procedures and deliver patient education effectively.

Strong organisational skills, clinical judgment, and ability to work autonomously and within a team. Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and basic computer literacy. What
