Sheet Metal Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sheet Metal Supervisor to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising day-to-day sheet metal operations, coordinating trades and production activities, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate sheet metal fabrication and installation activities.

• Manage and allocate work to sheet metal workers and apprentices.

• Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications.

• Monitor production schedules and ensure deadlines are met.

• Conduct quality inspections and ensure work meets required standards.

• Coordinate materials, equipment, and labour requirements.

• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.

• Liaise with project managers, clients, contractors, and other trades.

• Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.

• Identify and resolve production and installation issues.

About you

• Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication and/or installation.

• Previous supervisory or leading-hand experience.

• Strong knowledge of sheet metal work, fabrication, and installation techniques.

• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

• Commitment to quality and workplace safety.

• Relevant trade qualifications are highly desirable.
