Office Manager

CPB Contractors, together with fellow CIMIC Group companies, UGL and EIC, is proud to be driving the ground-up development of a multi-megawatt data centre in Truganina in the western suburbs of Melbourne. As the trusted delivery partners for Coravel, a global digital infrastructure platform, we will be frontiering mission critical facilities and infrastructure. Our expertise will seamlessly integrate complex systems across mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire, power and telecommunications among much more.  

Our integration with Coravel, empowers this build to draw on the shared knowledge and aligned systems across an international network to bring global best practice to our region.  

The 80 MW data centre will consist of two adjoining 40MW data centres featuring complex internally integrated electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire protection, ICT and security​ systems. Construction will also involve extensive external inground services works, modular electrical equipment including HV / Fire protection facilities construction and civil finishing works​.

Your opportunity

On a project of this scale, there's always something happening. New starters arriving on site, visitors coming through the door, invoices to process, travel to organise, meetings to coordinate and a hundred other moving pieces that need attention. That's where you'll come in.

You'll be the person people rely on to keep things running smoothly. The one who knows what's happening, anticipates what's needed and steps in to make sure nothing falls through the cracks. From supporting project leaders and site teams to creating a professional, welcoming environment, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day success of the project.

What you'll be doing

• Keep the project office running smoothly and efficiently day to day
• Coordinate site inductions, onboarding and workforce records
• Manage office supplies, PPE and site consumables
• Organise meetings, travel, accommodation and visitor arrangements
• Process invoices, expenses and project-related costs
• Reconcile project credit card transactions and maintain accurate records
• Support project teams with administration, coordination and logistics
• Maintain organised filing systems and project documentation
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and project stakeholders
• Create a professional, welcoming and well-organised office environment

What you'll bring

• Experience supporting a busy project, site or office environment
• Exceptional organisation skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities
• A proactive, can-do approach and the confidence to take ownership
• Experience with invoices, expenses and general office administration
• Strong communication skills and an approachable, team-focused style
• The ability to stay calm, flexible and solutions-focused when priorities change
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence learning new systems
