Technical Account Manager - Concept Data

About The Position

One of our Operating Companies, Concept Data is looking for an experienced Technical Account Manager to join their team in Adelaide, South Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded relationship-builder to take ownership of a portfolio of SME clients and play a key role in growing their technology, cyber security, cloud, data, AI and automation capabilities.

You will be the primary commercial owner for your assigned portfolio, responsible for building trusted relationships, developing account strategies, identifying growth opportunities and converting them into well-scoped, commercially sound solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining sales, strategic account management and consultative client engagement, and who wants to be part of a growing technology business.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow a defined portfolio of SME client accounts.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with key client stakeholders and position Concept Data as a strategic technology partner.
• Understand client business objectives, risks and priorities to identify opportunities and guide solution development.
• Develop and execute structured account plans focused on growth and retention.
• Identify and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities across managed services, cyber security, cloud, data, AI and automation.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline visibility and reliable sales forecasts.
• Conduct regular account reviews and client engagement meetings.
• Translate client requirements into clear, value-driven proposals and solutions.
• Work closely with technical and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are practical, deliverable and commercially sound.
• Set clear expectations and ensure successful handover and onboarding of new solutions.
• Monitor account health and proactively manage risks that could impact client satisfaction or retention.
• Support marketing campaigns, referrals and other initiatives that generate opportunities within your portfolio.
• Contribute to Concept Data’s EOS cadence and reporting where required.

Skills

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales or account management.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• MSP or IT industry account management experience is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to grow and retain a client portfolio.
• Strong commercial awareness and accountability.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong ability to develop and execute account strategies.
• Experience in consultative or solution-based sales environments.
• A proactive, results-driven and solution-oriented approach.
• Strong ownership mindset and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and delivery teams.
• Exposure to Microsoft 365, cloud, cyber security or AI solutions is desirable.
• Experience identifying and developing cyber security, compliance, cloud and AI opportunities within an SME client base is highly desirable.
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
• Willingness to undergo a Police Clearance.
