WHO WE NEED

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Packing Operator who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in leading by example. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership-focused role where you'll manage your own packing line, support a small team, and play a key part in delivering high-quality food products to customers across Australia.

You will be responsible for operating thermoformer packaging machinery, coordinating daily packing activities, and ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.

Location: Camellia, NSW

Roster Hours: Monday to Friday | 6:30am to 5:00pm

Important: This role is based in a food production facility and involves:

• Working in cold environment conditions
• Regular handling of pork products
• Manual handling tasks, including lifting up to 25kg

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Set up and operate thermoformer packaging machines at the start of each shift
• Monitor and adjust machine settings including speed, temperature, vacuum and cycle times
• Coordinate workflow across the packing line to ensure efficient production
• Lead, support and motivate a small team of packing staff
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and minimise downtime
• Handle and replace film rolls (20-25kg) safely
• Carry out packing duties and operate additional line equipment as required
• Complete end-of-shift shutdown procedures, reporting and cleaning preparation
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and quality assurance

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Experience operating production or packaging machinery (thermoformer experience highly regarded)
• Ability to troubleshoot and adjust machinery in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership or leading-hand experience on a production line
• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks (lifting up to 25kg)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Clear communication and ability to motivate a team
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic
• Comfortable working in a cold food production environment
• Comfortable handling pork products in accordance with food safety requirements
