About the role

Pre-Uni New College Oakleigh is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Primary & Secondary Tutors to join our educational team. This is a casual position based in Oakleigh VIC 3166, offering flexible opportunities for educators passionate about supporting student learning and development. As a tutor, you will play a vital role in helping students across primary and secondary levels achieve their academic goals through personalised instruction and mentorship. This position is perfect for educators looking for flexibility whilst making a meaningful impact on young learners' educational journeys.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and tailored tutoring sessions to primary and secondary students in line with their individual learning needs and curriculum requirements

• Assess student progress and identify areas requiring additional support or challenge to maximise learning outcomes

• Maintain detailed records of student attendance, progress and any concerns requiring follow-up

• Support students in developing confidence, motivation and a positive attitude towards learning

• Collaborate with other tutors and college staff to ensure consistency and quality in educational delivery

• Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and ensure concepts are clearly understood

• Subject matter knowledge in English and Maths

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and students
