Duty Manager - Full time and Part Time

We are seeking experienced, hands-on Duty Managers to join our team across SOPO Southport and Club Paradise in Surfers Paradise.

As Duty Manager, you will take responsibility for the safe, compliant and effective operation of the venue during your shifts. You will lead from the floor, provide direction to staff and respond professionally to the operational challenges that arise in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing daily venue operations across bar, gaming, dining and member services.

• Leading, supporting and motivating employees throughout each shift.

• Ensuring compliance with liquor, gaming, workplace health and safety, and responsible service requirements.

• Monitoring staffing levels, roster adherence, attendance and approved hours.

• Responding to patron concerns, incidents and operational issues professionally and effectively.

• Maintaining a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for members, guests and employees.

• Completing cash handling, shift reporting, opening and closing procedures as required.

• Working collaboratively with other managers and senior leadership.

• Taking a visible and hands-on approach to venue leadership.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• At least two years’ experience in a hospitality supervisory or management role.

• Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• A genuine commitment to exceptional customer service.

• Confidence managing conflict, patron concerns and complex operational situations.

• Strong organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills.

• The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.

• High levels of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality and personal presentation.

• Availability to work a seven-day rotating roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

• Current RSA and RSG certificates.

• Current RMLV certification and Approved Manager licence.

Current First Aid and CPR qualifications, gaming experience and familiarity with rostering or time-and-attendance systems will be highly regarded.
