About the RoleWe are seeking two highly skilled Senior Power System Engineers to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering advanced power system modelling, performing detailed system studies, and supporting engineering design for generation, transmission, and distribution networks.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects across renewable energy, utilities, mining, and oil & gas sectors while contributing to the evolving Australian energy landscape.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform power system modelling, simulation, and analysisConduct load flow, short circuit, transient stability, and harmonic studiesDeliver electrical engineering calculations and design studiesSupport projects across generation, transmission, and distribution systemsEnsure compliance with Australian grid technical rules and standardsPrepare technical reports, documentation, and study deliverablesCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholdersDevelop and implement automation tools for data analysis and visualizationProvide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers (if required)Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related disciplineEligibility for inclusion on the National Engineering Register (NER)Proven experience in one or more sectors:Renewable EnergyUtilitiesMiningOil & GasTechnical SkillsStrong experience in power system modelling and analysisProficiency in industry-standard tools such as:PSSEPSS® SINCALPowerFactoryETAPPTWPSCADPower quality monitoring toolsKnowledge of:Australian grid technical rules and proceduresRelevant AS/NZS, IEC, ANSI, IEEE standardsProgramming & Data SkillsExperience with automation and data analysis using:PythonFortranT-SQLVBA (Visual Basic for Applications)Soft SkillsStrong technical report writing and documentation skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationAbility to work independently and remotelyStrong problem-solving and analytical thinking
