The Role:
We’re looking for a motivated, reliable team member with experience in chocolate making, pastry or food production to help us create and deliver our premium chocolates. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be involved in various aspects of production, packing, and customer order preparation. Your contributions will be vital to maintaining the quality and reputation Poppy’s Chocolate is known for.

Your Responsibilities will Include:

• Food production support: Assisting in the preparation, production, and packing of chocolates with speed, precision, and attention to detail.
• Maintaining high hygiene and safety standards in all production and packing areas.
• Using basic computer programs for data entry, stock and order management.
• Keeping workspaces clean and organised to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

About You:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have:

• Previous experience in pastry or food production (essential).
• A strong can-do attitude with high energy and enthusiasm.
• A friendly, honest, and reliable nature.
• The ability to work quickly while maintaining high-quality standards.
• A focus on cleanliness and hygiene, with knowledge of food safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills and a respectful, team-focused mindset.
• The ability to stay calm under pressure and thrive during peak periods.
• Looking for a long term role (not suitable for working holiday makers) .

Requirements:

• Experience in food production or a similar role (minimum 3–5 years preferred).
• Physically fit for repetitive tasks (able to lift up to 25kg and be on your feet all day).
• Proficient in basic computer programs like Word and Excel.
• Own reliable transport and a valid driver’s licence (public transport is limited to our location).
• Permanent resident of SE Queensland and located within a 30-minute drive of Beenleigh.
• Available to work Mon-Fri 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Able to work occasional extra hours or weekends during seasonal peaks (infrequent)
• Able to work 37.5 hours per week.

Important Notes:

• Jewellery, long nails, and smoking are not permitted due to health and safety regulations.
• Annual leave is restricted during peak periods such as Easter and Christmas.
• Sorry but this is not a junior role; prior experience is essential.
