CNC Machinist

The Position

The main function of the CNC Operator is to ensure that machined parts are produced efficiently, correctly, and to a high standard of quality using a wide range of materials and tooling.

You will have sound mechanical aptitude, a keen eye for quality, continuous improvement mindset, with the positive view to support overall production targets through efficiency and high-quality standards. With a safety-first focus, the key deliverable will be on first time right manufacturing, reducing quality control issues. Working as part of a team and being a positive communicator will ensure that we are building a collaborative work environment.

A trade qualification - Cert III in Machining or equivalent and previous experience of 4+ years in a machine operator position. Proven experience in operating CNC Lathes and Mills and working with Okuma machines will have you succeeding in the position.

This position will require a police check and pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol screening to be undertaken during the recruitment process.

Your Day - CNC Machinist

· Operate CNC Machinery

· Read & interpret drawings

· Measure & record part dimensions

· Set fixtures and dimensionally inspect parts

· Select and use the appropriate measuring equipment

· Logging of machine downtime

· Ongoing training
