Details: Are you a communications or marketing professional with a passion for delivering campaigns that make a real impact? We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Director, Campaigns to lead the development and delivery of advertising campaigns that inform, engage and connect with the Canberra community.
Working as part of the Communications, Engagement and Media Branch, you will manage high-profile campaigns that support government priorities and contribute to positive community awareness, engagement and reputation outcomes. You’ll bring an audience-first mindset, using research, insights and evaluation to shape campaign strategies, creative concepts and communication activities that reach the right people, at the right time.
We’re looking for someone who brings initiative, sound judgement and strong organisational skills. You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, building productive relationships and leading campaign projects from concept through to delivery and evaluation. Experience in audience and insights-driven marketing communications, along with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, will be highly regarded.

Note: This is a temporary position available until 8 October 2027 with the possibility of permanency.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office-based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, and flexible start and finish times
