MR Truck Driver / Construction Labourer - All-Rounder

Phantom Slabs is looking for a reliable, physically fit all-rounder to join our team.

This is a varied, hands-on position combining medium rigid truck driving, construction labouring and material pickups. It would suit someone who enjoys being outdoors, working across different sites and taking responsibility for getting the job done.

This is not solely a truck-driving position. You will regularly be required to get out of the truck and assist with physical work onsite.

The role will include:

* Driving a medium rigid truck between our Carrum Downs yard, suppliers and building sites

* Delivering and collecting steel, equipment and other materials

* Assisting with loading, unloading and securing materials

* Assisting with slab-base preparation, excavation work and general construction duties

* Moving equipment and materials between sites

* Completing basic vehicle checks and keeping the truck and equipment clean

* Working independently when completing deliveries and collections

* Working as part of a team when assisting onsite

* Following site safety procedures and taking care around equipment and machinery


To be successful, you will need:

* A current Medium Rigid (minimum) license

* A current Construction Induction Card/White Card

* Experience safely driving a medium rigid truck

* Good physical fitness and the ability to complete manual labour

* The ability to work independently and manage your day without constant supervision

* A strong work ethic and willingness to help wherever required

* Reliability, punctuality and good communication

* A practical, common-sense approach to onsite work

* Confidence working as part of a construction crew

* A safe driving history and commitment to workplace safety

Previous construction, concreting, excavation or civil labouring experience would be highly regarded but is not essential for the right person. Machinery, forklift or other relevant tickets would also be an advantage.
