Senior Accountant and Corporate Strategist

We’re looking for more than a traditional accounting professional. We’re seeking a commercially minded strategist with strong accounting and taxation expertise who can contribute to decision-making across a diverse group of businesses.

The Group of Companies is a diversified financial services and property group, encompassing AFSL and ACL holders, real estate sales and property management operations, an incorporated legal practice, and an established in-house accounting function. We also manage a significant property portfolio across Australia.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working beyond traditional financial reporting and compliance - bringing strong technical capability, commercial judgement and strategic thinking to complex corporate, taxation and financial matters.

Working closely with senior leadership and external advisers where appropriate, you’ll contribute to corporate structuring, taxation strategy, governance, regulatory matters and broader commercial decision-making across the Group.

You’ll bring:

• Several years’ post-qualification experience in taxation, corporate advisory, commercial accounting or a comparable role

• Strong technical knowledge combined with a practical, commercially minded approach

• Experience navigating complex taxation, corporate and regulatory matters, including engagement with the ATO where required

• The ability to critically assess structures, strategies and commercial decisions and provide well-reasoned advice

• Sound judgement, intellectual curiosity and confidence working with senior stakeholders and professional advisers

• The flexibility and commitment to respond when significant or time-sensitive matters arise

• CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent), with a demonstrated interest in corporate law, taxation and commercial strategy
