About the role

Talisman Traders is seeking a Warehouse Storeperson to join our team in Williamstown, VIC.

This is a casual position offering flexibility for the right candidate.

As a Warehouse Storeperson, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, handling, and movement of goods.

This position is fundamental to maintaining our high standards of inventory management and customer service delivery.

What you'll be doing

• Receiving, checking and processing incoming goods

• Accurately storing items in designated locations

• Picking and packing orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfilment

• Maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting periodic stocktaking

• Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts (walk-behind stacker) and pallet jacks safely and efficiently

• Organising and maintaining warehouse cleanliness, safety standards and housekeeping

• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles

• Assisting with warehouse reorganisations as required

• Communicating with team members and management to ensure smooth daily operations

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution centre or similar storage environment

• Proficiency with warehouse management systems and basic computer literacy

• Ability to operate material handling equipment, in this case a walk-behind stacker & pallet jacks

• Strong attention to detail with accuracy in record-keeping and inventory management

• Physical capability to lift, carry and move goods regularly throughout the working day

• Excellent organisational and time management skills

• A commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards

• Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Clear communication skills and a proactive attitude to problem-solving
