Dental Assistant

About the role

This is a part-time position suited to someone who genuinely enjoys dental nursing and looking after patients. You'll be working across general dentistry in a busy practice, with a mix of chairside assisting and reception duties.

Key responsibilities

• Chairside assisting in general and some complex dentistry

• Reception duties as required

• Taking clinical notes and charting teeth and periodontal records

• Sterilisation of instruments

• Stock management within surgeries

About you

• A reliable, positive team player

• Likes helping patients feel comfortable

• Happy working in a busy general dental practice

• Comfortable taking clinical notes and charting teeth and periodontal records

• Has an interest in working with digital dentistry for fixed prosthodontics

• Experience at reception or willingness to learn

• Surgical extractions and implant experience is a bonus (but not essential)

• Experience with Dentally software is desirable but not essential

• Thursday and Friday availability is essential (8.45-6.15, 5.15 on Friday)
