About the role
We are seeking a friendly and energetic experienced Retail Counter Hand to join our team at the Strange Grains Gluten Free Bakery in Shenton Park, WA. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining the display counter, and ensuring a positive in-store experience.
What you'll be doing
Greeting customers and providing excellent customer service
Helping customers select and purchase baked goods from the display counter
Ensuring the display counter is well-stocked, organised and visually appealing
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bakery retail area
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as needed
Providing feedback and suggestions to improve the customer experience
What we're looking for
Must be able to work full time hours Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday
Previous experience in a customer-facing retail or hospitality role
Barista knowledge an advantage
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
Passion for food and/or gluten free products, and a desire to provide an exceptional customer experience
Comfortable working as part of a team and taking direction
No visa restrictions
