About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team in the heavy earthmoving industry. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair, fabrication, and maintenance of heavy machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other earthmoving equipment.
Responsibilities
• Conducting repairs on worn or damaged parts to ensure equipment reliability
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding specifications
• Operating welding equipment, cutting tools, and other fabrication machinery safely and efficiently
• Conduct inspections to assess wear and tear and recommend necessary repairs
• Working closely with mechanics and other team members to ensure minimal downtime of equipment
• Adhering to workplace safety standards and ensuring all welding work meets compliance regulations
Desirable
• Current forklift ticket
• Knowledge/experience of earthmoving equipment
Required
• Boilermaker/Welder trade qualification
