Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Clinician
Townsville | Full-Time Fixed-Term to 30 June 2027
Make a real difference in the lives of young people.
Our Townsville-based Youth AOD Service supports young people aged 12 to 25 who are experiencing problematic alcohol and other drug use and are engaged with, or at risk of becoming engaged with, the youth justice system.
We're looking for a passionate and values-driven Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Clinician to deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions that help young people build healthier futures, strengthen their wellbeing, and reduce their risk of reoffending.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work alongside young people as they navigate complex challenges and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
Your Opportunity
As an AOD Clinician, you will manage a caseload of young people requiring assessment, counselling, case management and support. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, you'll deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions and support clients to achieve their recovery goals.
You'll build strong relationships with young people, families, community organisations and key stakeholders to ensure positive outcomes and coordinated care.
This is a full-time fixed-term position until 30 June 2027, with the possibility of extension.
Location: Thuringowa Drive, Kirwan, Townsville
Community outreach forms an important part of this role, providing opportunities to work directly with young people in environments where they feel safe, supported and engaged.
Salary: $92,000 - $99,000 plus Superannuation and Salary Packaging
