Kenny Constructions is an Australian construction company delivering complex projects across Australia, with expertise spanning infrastructure, civil and high-rise construction.
With significant growth planned in Western Australia, we are expanding our Perth team and are looking for a Safety Coordinator to support our projects and help maintain a strong, proactive safety culture across the business.
The Role
Reporting to the Safety Manager, the Safety Coordinator will provide day-to-day support across our Perth projects, working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors to ensure safety standards are consistently maintained.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being on site, building relationships with project teams and taking a proactive approach to health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation and ongoing management of WHS policies, procedures and systems
Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety observations
Assist with incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions
Support project teams with SWMS, JHAs, risk assessments and safety documentation
Monitor compliance with relevant legislation, standards and project requirements
Assist with site inductions, toolbox talks and safety training
Work closely with supervisors and subcontractors to identify and address safety risks
Maintain accurate safety records and reporting
Assist with the preparation and review of safety documentation
Promote a proactive safety culture across all levels of the project team
Provide practical safety advice and support to site-based teams
About You
We’re looking for someone who is practical, approachable and confident working with construction teams.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience in a Safety Coordinator, HSE Coordinator or similar role within construction
Relevant WHS/OHS qualification
Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and construction safety requirements
Experience conducting site inspections and safety audits
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
The ability to work autonomously while also being part of a wider project team
A proactive, solutions-focused approach to safety
White Card and relevant site tickets
Current Australian working rights
