Operator Maintainer - Civil Works

Work - As the Operator Maintainer - Civil Works, you'll be part of a hands-on team responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving Sunwater's water delivery infrastructure. This is a physically active role where no two days are the same. You'll undertake a variety of civil maintenance activities including pipe repairs, leak rectification, excavation works, concrete repairs, vegetation management and routine asset inspections across our network. Working outdoors in a dynamic environment, you'll operate equipment, assist with construction and maintenance projects and respond to unplanned maintenance issues to help ensure reliable water delivery to our customers. As an Operator Maintainer - Civil Works at Sunwater, you will:Undertake hands-on civil maintenance and repair activities on pipelines, channels and associated infrastructureActively participating in Health & Safety interactionsProviding support and indirect supervision to lower-level operatorsSupervision of on-site contractors to ensure safe working methods and deliveryConduct required maintenance activities to Sunwater water delivery infrastructure.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is mechanically minded and takes pride in delivering quality work. Experience in civil construction, landscaping, earthmoving, agriculture or a similar hands-on environment will be highly regarded. Most importantly, we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
