Join the Physiotherapy Department at Liverpool Hospital as a Casual Allied Health Assistant Level 1 and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care within one of NSW's largest and busiest health services. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable clinical experience while working alongside experienced Physiotherapists in a supportive and collaborative teaching environment. Working across acute wards, you will assist with patient care and rehabilitation activities, helping patients achieve their recovery goals while developing valuable healthcare skills.
In This Role, You Will
Support Physiotherapists in delivering care and rehabilitation programs to patients across acute hospital wards. Gain hands-on clinical experience in a dynamic and supportive teaching environment. Develop practical skills in patient interaction, rehabilitation and manual handling techniques. Work alongside experienced clinicians committed to education, mentoring and professional development. Enjoy flexibility in workdays and hours, primarily on weekdays, and weekends as required

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Demonstrate

Effective communication and interpersonal skills when working with patients, carers and members of the multidisciplinary team. A positive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to ongoing professional development.

Experience as an Allied Health Assistant or commitment to complete the Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistant within 12 months of employmentDemonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required) as delegated by supervising Allied Health ProfessionalDemonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levelsDemonstrated good organisational skills, ability to work independently and as a member of a teamKnowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and principlesDemonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office including management of emails, word processing and database managementApplicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
