Maintenance Fitter

About the role

Join the team at Big River Pork as a Maintenance Fitter. This is a full-time position based in Murray Bridge, South Australia. As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment at our state-of-the-art pork processing facility.

What you'll be doing

• Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of industrial machinery and equipment

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner

• Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to identify and resolve problems

• Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to ensure smooth operations

• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and parts usage

• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Formal trade qualification as a Fitter, Turner or Machinist

• Minimum 3 years' experience in an industrial maintenance role

• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex issues

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively

• Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
