Sessional Year 1-9: $817.44 - $1,038.13 per session*
Above remuneration is inclusive of base rate as of 3 September 2026, 12% superannuation and applicable allowances. Remuneration is subject to assessment of qualifications, clinical skills and years of practice.
Employment Types: fixed term – sessional appointment up to 03/02/2028 with possibility of extension(s).
About the WA Health Electronic Medical Record Program
WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is undertaking one of the largest digital transformation programs in Australia through the implementation of a statewide Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Program. The EMR Program will transform the way healthcare is delivered by connecting people and information to support safer, more efficient and patient-centred care.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced medical leader to influence large-scale system transformation, support innovation and help deliver a digitally enabled healthcare system that meets current and future healthcare needs.
About the Role
As Chief Medical Information Officer, you will play a pivotal role in representing WACHS within the State-wide Electronic Medical Record Program, ensuring that the unique needs of regional, rural and remote communities are reflected in the design and implementation of WA’s future digital healthcare system
This is more than a digital health role. It is an opportunity to influence how healthcare is delivered across some of the most geographically diverse and clinically complex environments in the country.
You will work alongside senior clinical, digital and executive leaders across WA Health to design systems that support safer care, enhance clinician experience, improve patient outcomes and create a more connected healthcare system for future generations.
This role will suit an experienced medical specialist with a passion for digital health, clinical innovation and healthcare transformation.
