Our client is a highly regarded commercial law firm with a strong and growing Real Estate practice. Known for acting on complex, high-value transactions across a range of asset classes, the team advises developers, institutional investors, landlords, tenants and corporate clients on significant property projects throughout Australia.
Working closely with leading Partners and as part of a high-performing Real Estate team, you will take ownership of sophisticated transactions, manage client relationships and play a key role in mentoring junior lawyers.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading property acquisitions and divestments across a range of commercial, retail and alternative asset classes, including overseeing transaction due diligence processesAdvising on development projects, joint venture arrangements and development management structures for large-scale real estate assetsPreparing, reviewing and negotiating complex leasing, transaction and project documentation for landlords, tenants, developers and investorsSupporting corporate transactions by advising on property-related issues and coordinating with multidisciplinary deal teamsProviding strategic and commercially focused advice on a broad range of real estate and property law matters Building strong client relationships while supervising and mentoring junior members of the team.
The successful candidate will have:
5+ years' PAE in property or real estate law gained within a reputable private practice environment.Experience advising developers, institutional investors, landowners or corporate clients on acquisitions, disposals, developments and leasing transactions.Strong drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills, with the ability to run matters with a high degree of autonomy.Excellent commercial acumen and the ability to provide practical, business-focused advice to clients.
