Men Of Business Academy
About the role
ABOUT US
At Men of Business Academy (MOB), we’re not just a school — we’re a movement.
The Men of Business Academy (MOB Academy) is a Junior and Senior Secondary School committed to empowering young men with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be happy, healthy, and successful in life after school.
We are more than a school — we are a movement dedicated to "Building Better Men" who will become positive, contributing members of their families and communities.
Our values — Respect, Gratitude, Passion, Ownership, and Family — are more than words. They shape the way we teach, lead, and live every day. We are a community, a tribe, and a place where people genuinely belong.
If you’re seeking a workplace that’s genuinely different—where values are lived, connections run deep, and every day is fuelled by purpose—MOB Academy is the place for you. This isn’t your typical workplace. At MOB, we live our values, work with purpose, and support each other like family. Join us on our bold mission of Building Better Men and play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of great young men.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an exciting opportunity to join MOB Academy at an important stage in our growth. Our current Junior Secondary cohort is Year 7, with Year 8 joining us in 2027. Alongside this, we have an established Year 11 and 12 cohort, with Years 9 and 10 to be introduced over the coming years.
The Youth Worker will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of age groups — from our younger Junior Secondary students through to our senior boys — building relationships, supporting wellbeing and helping students navigate the different stages of their schooling.
You will play an important role in growing with our school, contributing to the development of our culture and wellbeing practices as we continue to expand. This is an opportunity to be part of something from the ground up and help shape what MOB Academy becomes as our students and cohorts grow.
Including;
Build strong relationships with students, provide mentoring and support, and help re-engage boys who may be disengaged, dysregulated or finding school challenging.
Provide day-to-day support for Tier 1 and Tier 2 behavioural needs, including emotional regulation, withdrawal support and helping students successfully return to learning.
Facilitate MOB programs including MOB Life, MOB Gathering, MOB Values and other engagement initiatives, as well as supporting camps, immersions, Spartan activities and other physical engagement opportunities.
Be a visible and positive presence across the school, welcoming students, supporting transitions, supervising common areas and helping create a safe and respectful environment.
Support students in and around learning spaces, including phone handover routines, re-engaging students who have withdrawn from learning, and providing in-class support where needed.
Work closely with teachers, wellbeing staff, leadership, families and external agencies to identify students who may need additional support and make appropriate referrals.
Record relevant student interactions and observations, contribute to engagement team discussions and communicate with parents and caregivers where appropriate.
Supervise assigned areas, encourage positive interactions and support respectful behaviour, language and use of equipment
