THE ROLE

As Assistant Manager, you'll support the Venue Manager in leading the day-to-day operations of a busy, high-volume venue. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, motivating and rostering a team to deliver consistent, high-quality service

• Overseeing front-of-house and bar operations during shifts

• Managing stock control, cash handling and cost management

• Ensuring full compliance with RSA, RCG and WHS requirements

• Building genuine relationships with regulars and the local community

• Supporting training and development to help grow a high-performing team

• Stepping up to manage the venue in the absence of senior leadership

• Helping drive a positive, values-led culture across the team

What you will bring:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or Assistant Manager role within hospitality or licensed venues

• Current RSA and RCG certifications

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support a team

• A hands-on, community-first approach to service and guest experience

• Confidence managing rosters, stock, and day-to-day venue operations

• Excellent communication skills and a calm head under pressure

• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
