What you will be doing in this role
This role reports to the Spiritual Care Manager / Director of Mission Integration and works as part of the Pastoral Care team of chaplains, volunteers and various faith representatives.
In this role, you will embody and bring to life the mission and values of Adventist HealthCare. You will collaborate with the broader team to be present for patients and their families, offering care to meet their spiritual needs. You will document interactions with patients and families and engage in the department's communication and documentation processes. Additionally, you will provide spiritual support to staff and volunteers as needed, while fostering and sustaining the hospital's ecumenical and interfaith activities.
This full-time role works on a rotating Monday to Sunday roster (8:00am to 5:00pm), including participation in a shared on-call roster for after-hours, weekend and end-of-life pastoral support. Commencement is January 2027.
