Rental Minimum Standards - Inspector / Auditor
Looking for Casual and Full time employees - Prefferably Trade based. (Carpenters or Electricians)
Who is RIC Safety Audits?
RIC Safety Audits is a locally owned Geelong business specialising in safety audits for rental properties. We currently service large areas of Victoria and are now currently seeking applicants in the Shepparton , Bendigo and border areas .
We service over 200 real estate agencies in the victoria and due to changes in reporting and rental requirments we’ve recently been inundated with requests from real estate agencies specifically for Rental Minimum Standards checks. We have significantly grown this side of the business and are now looking to find the right people to complete these audits. We’re a tight-knit team that values quality, consistency and looking after each other. We work closely with our agency partners and tenants to help keep homes safe, compliant and comfortable. If you’re self-motivated, have strong attention to detail and are happy to follow proven procedures, we’d love to hear from you.
The role – what you’ll be doing
This position is focused on Rental Minimum Standards inspections for residential rental properties. Typical duties include:
Attending rental properties to complete Rental Minimum Standards checks (heating, ventilation, security, lighting, blinds, bathroom facilities, etc.)
Inspecting, testing and documenting the condition of key building elements against current minimum standards
Using checklists and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance
Recording findings and photos using online software/reporting tools
Communicating clearly with the office team and real estate agencies when issues are identified
Assisting, where required, with smoke alarm checks, electrical safety (if suitably qualified) .
Travelling to jobs across Border area and general region as required
This is clean, structured work – ideal for someone who takes pride in doing a thorough job and wants to know their work is making homes safer and more comfortable for renters.

Maintenance / facility technician
Essential requirements
Current driver’s licence
Ability to use a smartphone/tablet and basic online reporting software
Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
Ability to follow procedures and checklists accurately
Self-motivated with good time management – comfortable working on your own on the road
Willingness to travel to job sites across the region
Ability to work well as part of a small, supportive team
Desirable (but not essential)
Trade qualification – Electrical or Carpentry
Experience in residential building, maintenance, property management or inspections
Familiarity with rental compliance, building codes or safety requirements
