Plumber - Defence Maintenance & Projects

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Plumber to join our growing Defence Services team. Working across Defence facilities, you will be responsible for delivering a combination of reactive maintenance, preventative planned maintenance (PPM), compliance works, and small project installations.

This is a diverse role suited to a tradesperson who can work independently, manage their own workload, and maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism while operating in secure environments.

Occasional regional travel and short-duration swings may be required as part of project and maintenance delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative planned maintenance (PPM) activities.

• Attend and rectify reactive plumbing maintenance tasks.

• Deliver small plumbing projects, refurbishments, and upgrades.

• Diagnose faults and provide effective repair solutions.

• Complete compliance inspections and associated documentation.

• Liaise professionally with Defence representatives and stakeholders.

• Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.

• Work autonomously while contributing to a wider service delivery team.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Current Australian Plumbing Trade Qualification.

• Relevant Plumbing Licence.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in maintenance and facilities management environments.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Current Australian Driver's Licence.

• Ability and willingness to travel regionally when required.
