Metroplant & Civil Services is expanding our civil crews across Melbourne’s East and West. We’re seeking skilled Excavator and Bobcat Operators to join our team, working on a wide range of council and road construction projects. Positions are available for immediate start.

Metroplant & Civil Services is a well-established Melbourne-based civil construction company specialising in roadworks and infrastructure projects for local and state government clients.
We operate from two yards – Highett and Sunshine North – servicing:

• East: Kingston, Greater Dandenong and Bayside Councils

• West: Maribyrnong, Hobsons Bay and Wyndham City Councils

With more than 50 employees and a fleet of 20 excavators and skid steers, we deliver everything from footpath and road reinstatements to full street reconstructions, stormwater drainage, bulk excavation, carparks and activity centre renewals.

We’re looking for experienced Excavator and Bobcat Operators to work alongside our concrete, asphalt and drainage crews.
Operators are responsible for site preparation, trenching, reinstatement and drainage work on a variety of council and civil projects.

Key duties include:

• Excavation and trimming for footpaths, kerb and channel

• Working in with concrete and asphalt crews

• Profiling, sweeping and loading trucks

• Loading, backfilling and final clean-up of sites

You’re reliable, safety-conscious and keen to be part of a professional, long-term crew.

Essential:

• Excavator and Skid Steer (Bobcat) tickets

• Construction White Card

• Current driver’s licence (MR or HR highly regarded)

• Experience in civil construction or reinstatement works

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Full-time, ongoing work with a reputable civil company
