About The Role
A career opportunity exists to fulfil the role of Clinical Support Nurse - Deteriorating Patient at our Stawell campus. This role coordinates education of staff in recognizing and responding to the deteriorating patient, incorporating evidence-based escalation of care principles to promote safe, effective, multidisciplinary resuscitation practice.
Key Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with all staff to promote evidence-based practice in resuscitation and clinical deterioration.Deliver, facilitate, evaluate and report on basic, advanced and paediatric life support training and assessment.Participate in relevant working groups and committees as allocated.Provide educational support to other Grampians region health partners in clinical deterioration, including support of the Highway education model and SimVan Mobile simulation.Identify and contribute to innovative interprofessional learning opportunities such as the use of simulation and eLearning modules.Support learners by working alongside learners in clinical settings, providing timely feedback, facilitating the achievement of learning objectives.
Skills & Experience
Must hold current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Registered MidwifeHave current and substantial (> = 5 years) clinical nursing experienceHold a postgraduate qualification in Critical CareHold or be working towards a qualification in education and/or training. Demonstrated experience supporting learners and staff.

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Educator (Major) (RN35) which is paid at $64.82 per hour.
