Quality Assurance Officer (Full Time)

What you will be doing & delivering

As a Quality Assurance Officer, you’ll play an important role in maintaining and improving Flavorite’s quality systems, ensuring our products meet customer expectations and our business remains audit-ready.

Working closely with the QA Supervisor, packing and distribution teams, and other key stakeholders, you’ll support quality assurance activities, maintain accurate quality records and systems, identify quality issues and contribute to continuous improvement.

• Quality Assurance: Support the implementation and maintenance of Flavorite’s quality systems and ensure quality standards and procedures are consistently followed.
• Audit Readiness: Maintain internal audit and verification schedules and assist with facilitating audits to ensure the business is prepared and compliant.
• Customer Quality: Conduct pre-delivery inspections and help ensure product quality aligns with customer requirements and expectations.
• Quality Monitoring: Take and analyse retention samples, identify and report fruit quality issues, and work closely with relevant teams to address concerns.
• Corrective Actions: Raise Corrective Action Requests (CARs) for quality issues and follow them through to completion.
• Quality Systems & Reporting: Maintain quality records and systems, complete accurate data entry and provide relevant quality reports to the Growing Team.
• Stakeholder Communication: Liaise daily with packing and distribution teams and ensure quality information is communicated accurately and effectively to relevant stakeholders.
• Training & Support: Educate employees on quality system requirements and support the business in maintaining strong quality standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Research and develop quality systems and identify opportunities to improve quality processes and outcomes.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role is desirable.
• Relevant QA qualifications or practical auditing experience is desirable.
• Experience in fruit and vegetable production is desirable.
• HACCP training is desirable.
• Strong computer skills and confidence working with quality systems and data.
• Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
• Strong motivation and initiative, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing quality issues.
• Sound decision-making skills and the ability to use judgement when dealing with quality matters.
• A strong commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
