Engagement Marketing Manager

Your purpose

The purpose of the Engagement Marketing Manager is to:

• Promote Budget Direct as a preferred insurer of choice by executing targeted data-driven campaigns and programs.
• Continually drive customer experience and advocacy for the Brand.
• Deliver customer engagement strategies across a range of products aimed at optimizing customer retention and renewal.
• Acquire and contribute to insights with the objective of retaining premium and reducing customer attrition.
• Build rapport and relationships with internal / external stakeholders.
• Manage the strategy to support the migration and ongoing use of the Budget Direct App
• Execute the campaigns to existing customers to support the Budget Direct sponsored teams.

The role

• Strategic Engagement & Retention: Develop, implement, and continuously refine the comprehensive customer engagement and retention strategy, including specific initiatives for the Budget Direct App to drive adoption, usage, and successful onboarding. Create and optimise "always-on" marketing programs designed to reduce churn and enhance customer loyalty.
• Multi-channel Campaign Leadership: Lead the end-to-end design, execution, and coordination of targeted, multi-channel marketing campaigns (e.g., eDM, SMS, Social, Web Personalisation, Direct Mail, Call Centre). Oversee the full campaign lifecycle, from idea generation and briefing through to testing, delivery, and post-program analysis, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and compliance.
• Performance & Optimisation: Drive activities that directly contribute to key performance indicators such as increasing Budget Direct App adoption and ongoing use, boosting retention rates, reducing mid-term cancellations, enhancing customer experience, improving NPS scores, and increasing cross-sell rates. Lead the development of tactical offers and manage the optimisation of automated marketing journeys.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Proactively engage and collaborate with diverse internal stakeholders, including Product, Marketing, Design, Data, Sales, Service, CX, and Technology teams, to gain customer insights, understand product dynamics, and ensure seamless project delivery and consistent customer experiences.
• Operational Excellence & Compliance: Create and maintain an engagement activity calendar, manage campaign budgets, brief and evolve reporting dashboards with CRM support, and ensure all marketing activities strictly comply with internal processes, controls, and relevant legal and regulatory obligations.

What experience you’ll bring

Essential Skills & Experience

• Qualifications: Tertiary degree in Marketing, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline.
• Campaign Expertise: Proven experience in end-to-end multi-channel campaign delivery, specifically across Email, SMS, Direct Mail, Digital, and Contact Centre initiatives.
• Core Capabilities: Exceptional communication (written and verbal), strong analytical and reporting skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent time management with the ability to prioritise effectively and meet tight deadlines.
• Creative Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to be creative, including effective copywriting skills.

Desirable Attributes

• Experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Braze) and managing customer lifecycle journeys.
• Experience in App marketing.
• Experience working on sponsorship campaigns.
• Proven vendor and partner relationship management skills.
