Join the U.S. Embassy Canberra as an Economic Specialist.
The U.S. Embassy in Canberra is seeking an Economic Specialist to join the Economic Section and provide analysis, reporting, and advice on Australian economic issues.
The Economic Specialist reports to the Deputy Economic Counselor and works with a team of American officers and a wide range of U.S. Government officials, including visiting Members of Congress and senior trade negotiators. The position provides briefings to the Ambassador and DCM and serves as a key resource on specific areas of Australian economic policy. As an integral member of the Economic Section, the Economic Specialist provides clear analysis and sound judgment to support strategic planning and advance U.S. economic and foreign policy priorities.
