Dewatering Technician

At GSS Hire, we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, hands-on and reliable Dewatering Technician to join our Ormeau Branch.

We are seeking someone who wants to specialise and build a long-term career in the niche yet highly in-demand field of dewatering. Role would suit drainer or driller offsider who is looking to move beyond general labouring and in long run develop real technical expertise, dewatering offers problem-solving work, site responsibility and career progression.

• Installation and removal of wellpoint and deep well dewatering systems

• Daily maintenance and operational checks of pumps and dewatering systems

• Setup and commissioning of pumps, generators and water treatment units

• Monitoring system performance and ensuring compliance with site standards

• Assisting with mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment and personnel

• Maintaining a safe and organised work environment

• Experience in dewatering systems (wellpoint, deep well and pump systems preferred)

• Knowledge in pumps desired

• Construction or site-based experience

• A hands-on approach and strong work ethic

• A current Australian driver's licence

• Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card)

• Forklift licence and excavator ticket (desirable but not essential)

• Physical fitness and resilience to work in demanding site environments

• Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with clients on site
