Recognised with the 2025 MAIB Community Safety Award, Street Team volunteers help keep people safe, supported and connected every weekend.

What you’ll do:

• Assist people experiencing mental health crises or vulnerability
• Assist people experiencing effects of intoxication and overdose
• Provide practical support including First Aid
• Work proactively to promote safe partying
• Help people access safe transport home

Role Details:

• Volunteer on Saturday nights
• Located in Launceston CBD
• Shift times approx. 10:30pm-3:00am
• Volunteer as often as suits you
• Training and ongoing support provided

Requirements:

• Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP)
• Excellent Communication skills
• Open-minded and a desire to learn
• Work well within a small team
• Aged 18+

Prior training and experience in first aid, mental health first aid, community services, etc. is desirable, but not essential.
