Toowoomba Grammar School (TGS) is seeking an experienced Head of Admissions to join the team.  Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the School's admissions and enrolment processes, the Head of Admissions ensures prospective families experience a professional, timely and personalised journey from initial enquiry through to commencement.

The role works collaboratively with key stakeholders to support enrolment growth across day, boarding and international student markets, while managing admissions administration, family engagement, pipeline activity and reporting to help achieve the School's enrolment objectives. Through effective relationship management and the use of enrolment data, the role contributes to attracting, enrolling and retaining students across the School.

Experience in school admissions and/or international student recruitment is highly desirable.

About TGS

Founded in 1875, TGS is a member school of the Great Public Schools Association of Queensland (GPS).  It is an independent non-denominational day and boarding school for boys with a total enrolment of 1,100 from Preparatory to Year 12.  There are approximately 300 boarders in the School coming predominantly from throughout Queensland, Northern New South Wales and the Northern Territory.  The School’s campus covers 20.5 hectares and is located one kilometre from the centre of Toowoomba.

About the Position

Reporting to the Headmaster through the Deputy Headmaster, the Head of Admissions is responsible for contributing to the School’s enrolment strategy, admissions operations and family engagement initiatives to support sustainable enrolment growth, conversion and retention.

Selection Criteria:

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a proven ability and commitment in the following areas:

1. Relevant qualifications and experience in enrolment management, sales, marketing, customer service, business development, education or a related field, including experience supporting enrolment growth and achieving recruitment objectives.
2. Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and evaluate enrolment and conversion activities that support enrolment growth, enhance the prospective family experience and achieve agreed performance targets.
3. Strong team leadership and people management skills, with experience supporting, developing and motivating staff to deliver high quality service and outcomes.
4. Well developed relationship management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with prospective families, community partners, agents and internal stakeholders while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
5. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to interpret enrolment, market and customer data to support reporting, forecasting and continuous improvement.
6. Proven experience using CRM, enrolment management and other digital systems to manage enquiries, applications, reporting, customer interactions, data integrity and operational processes.
7. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment, exercising sound judgement, initiative and accountability while maintaining a focus on service delivery and enrolment outcomes.
8. Capacity and flexibility to work outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, and undertake domestic and international travel as required to support enrolment, recruitment and community engagement activities.
