Mexican Kitchen Team Member / Cook

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Cook / Kitchen Team Member to join our team at Fofo’s Taqueria in Newtown.

The role involves food preparation, cooking and assembling Mexican dishes including tacos, burritos, quesadillas and other menu items. You will play an important role in maintaining food quality and ensuring a smooth service.

• Preparing ingredients, proteins and sauces

• Cooking and assembling menu items

• Following recipes and portion-control standards

• Maintaining consistent food quality during service

• Preparing takeaway and delivery orders accurately

• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and safe

• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment

• Receiving and storing deliveries

• Following food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures

• Previous commercial kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred

• Reliable, punctual and responsible

• Well organised and able to work efficiently

• Comfortable working under pressure in a busy kitchen

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail

• Afternoon, evening and weekend availability is required
