Design Manager

ConsultANZ is looking for a Design Manager to join a leading piling and deep foundations contractor based in NSW. This role is ideal for an experienced foundation designer who can lead a small team while delivering high-quality designs for major civil and infrastructure projects.

Main Duties:

• Prepare and review designs for bored piers, CFA piles, and retaining walls.
• Lead and mentor a team of 5 design engineers.
• Coordinate with project managers, site teams, and external consultants.
• Review geotechnical reports and develop practical foundation solutions.
• Ensure designs are delivered accurately and on schedule.
• Provide technical guidance and support across multiple projects.
• Maintain strong communication with clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in piling, deep foundations, or geotechnical design.
• Strong design experience with bored piers, CFA piles, and retaining walls.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong communication and English skills.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects and priorities.
• D-wall experience is advantageous but not essential.
