Transport Driver and Transport Aid - Childcare

KaGo Transport Services are currently looking for Transport Drivers and Transport Aides to join our team.
Locations: Armadale/Bedfordale, Quinns Rocks, Morley, Southlake, Leda and Huntingdale WA (when applying please specify your preferred location - however it is important to note that you may be required to work at other locations from time to time)
Part-Time – Monday to Friday

About the Role
We are seeking reliable, safety-conscious Transport Drivers to join our team. You will be responsible for the safe transportation of children between home, school, and early learning centres. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to build trust with children, families, and staff.

We are seeking caring, reliable, and safety-conscious Transport Aids to join our team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring children are transported safely to and from our centres while feeling supported and comfortable during their journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company vehicle in accordance with road laws and organisational policies

• Transport children to and from a daycare centre, school, and excursions

• Ensure children are secured in appropriate car seats and seatbelts in line with safety standards

• Maintain a friendly and supportive environment for children during travel

• Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle safety checks

• Maintain accurate records of trips and attendance

• Follow child safety and safeguarding procedures at all times

• Assist in the safe embarking and disembarking of children on and off the vehicle.

• Support the driver in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children during transport.

• Maintain accurate attendance/roll checks for transported children.

• Provide reassurance and supervision to children during travel.

• Communicate respectfully with children, families, and staff.

• Uphold health and safety standards at all times.
  

What We’re Looking For

• Current WA C-Class licence (LR or higher preferred)

• Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)

• National Police Clearance

• A medical clearance from your doctor confirming fitness for the role will be required before commencement.

• Excellent driving record and commitment to road safety

• Patience, kindness, and ability to communicate with children

• Reliability and punctuality

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• First Aid & CPR certification
  

Desirable

• Experience working with children

• Knowledge of child safety and duty of care obligations

• Drivers that hold a PTD. (Passenger Transport Driver)
