What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will
oversee and supervise cleaning operations across the MFC plant, ensuring
cleaning and hygiene tasks are completed safely, efficiently and in
line with QA requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating daily cleaning
activities, schedules and records to meet QA and operational
requirements.
- Liaising with Production, QC/QA,
inventory, procurement and cleaning team members to ensure cleaning
priorities are achieved.
- Ensuring cleaning products, chemicals and equipment
are available, safely used, maintained and appropriately
stored.
- Supervising, training and supporting
cleaning team members in SOPs, safety requirements and effective
cleaning practices.
- Overseeing machinery, equipment and
packing line cleaning so work is completed correctly, safely and on
time.
- Identifying and communicating faulty
equipment, packing line issues or material requirements to
the appropriate team.
- Maintaining chemical stock levels, coordinating
ordering requirements and managing chemical drum recycling
processes.
- Completing cleaning records daily and
supporting accurate paperwork, times and compliance
records.
- Ensuring end-of-shift site security requirements
are completed, including lights, doors, alarms and gates as required.
- Contributing to continuous improvement and
completing other duties in consultation with management.
What you’ll bring
We
are looking for a safety-focused, organised and practical supervisor
who can lead a small team, work collaboratively across
the site and maintain high cleaning and hygiene standards.
You will bring:
- Previous experience
in a cleaning, hygiene, production or food manufacturing environment,
ideally in a supervisory role.
- Strong
safety mindset and understanding of WHS requirements in a food factory
environment.
- Forklift licence and
current car driver licence.
- Ability
to complete paperwork, cleaning records and times accurately and
neatly.
- Good
communication skills with the confidence to liaise with staff,
managers, suppliers and contractors.
- Strong
time management, planning and organisation skills with the
ability to respond to changing priorities.
- Ability
to work safely, use initiative and problem-solve without close
supervision.
- Reasonable
computer skills and the ability to use internal systems for
ordering, records and time management.
- A
practical understanding of cleaning chemicals, Safety Data Sheets,
equipment care and safe cleaning methods.
- A
positive, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic and willingness to support
the broader operation.
