We have an exciting opportunity for an immediate start to support a range of clients with different needs. 

We are seeking compassionate, reliable and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team, supporting clients living with ASD and intellectual disabilities. 

This is a casual position with a range of shift opportunities available, including day, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts. 

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to clients in their home and in the community. You will play an important role in supporting each client’s daily routine, wellbeing, independence and community participation.

Your duties may include:

• Supporting clients with daily living activities, including showering, dressing, grooming and meal preparation

• Providing personal care in a respectful and dignified manner

• Supporting community access, appointments, shopping and social activities

• Assisting with mobility and safe manual handling where required

• Providing transport support using your own reliable vehicle

• Supporting clients to maintain routines, independence and social connection

• Completing progress notes and reporting any concerns in line with organisational procedures

• Communicating professionally with clients, families and team members

• Maintaining a safe, clean and supportive environment

• Respecting confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times

About Hope Circle

Hope Circle is a registered NDIS provider supporting individuals with complex disabilities, particularly those with forensic histories, mental health, and physical disability.

Since 2019, we've developed a proven, holistic care model based on partnership with a client’s circle of supports.

We pride ourselves on creating individualised care plans that uphold a client's right to live their life, even when complex risks are involved.

This includes being an implementing provider of behaviour support plans and/or use of regulated restrictive practices, where we have a record of reducing or eliminating a client’s restrictive practices.

About you

We are looking for support workers who have a calm and positive approach, good communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting participants to build independence, develop daily living skills and live the life they choose.

Experience supporting clients with ASD, intellectual disability, behaviours of concern, communication difficulties, sensory needs or Positive Behaviour Support Plans will be highly regarded.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A genuine passion for supporting people with disability

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Patience, empathy and a professional approach

• Reliability and commitment to rostered shifts

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Confidence to support clients with personal care and community access

• Physical capability to assist with mobility and daily support tasks where required.

Essential Requirements

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence

• Reliable vehicle

• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain

• Current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain

• Current First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain

• Working with Children Check, if required for the client group

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or similar is highly regarded

Previous disability or aged care experience is valued; however, we are also open to applicants with the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.
