Chef (Full-Time, Permanent)

About the Role

Twin Peeks Lingerie Restaurant is seeking an experienced, qualified Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hands-on cooking role responsible for the preparation and presentation of menu items to a high standard of quality and consistency.

Duties

• Prepare, cook and present food according to established recipes, quality standards and portion controls

• Plan and organise food preparation and cooking sequences to meet service times

• Monitor food stock levels, order supplies and manage stock rotation to minimise waste

• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards at all times

• Discuss food preparation issues with the Kitchen Manager/Head Chef and other kitchen staff

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes across the menu, including a la carte and function catering

• Monitor the quality and presentation of all dishes leaving the kitchen

• Train, supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff/apprentices as required

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment

• Liaise with front-of-house staff regarding special dietary requirements and service timing

Requirements

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)

• Diploma of Hospitality Management (or equivalent)

• Demonstrated experience working as a qualified Chef in a commercial kitchen

• Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service periods

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by the business

Pay: $75,000.00 – $86,506.18 per year
