Maintenance Officer

Join the Facilities and Maintenance team at Greenslopes Private Hospital as a Full-Time Maintenance Officer, helping ensure the hospital remains safe, functional and well maintained for patients, visitors and staff.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will undertake a range of general maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance activities across the hospital. You will play an important role in maintaining hospital facilities, equipment and infrastructure to a high standard while ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake general maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance across the hospital.
• Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Inspect and maintain hospital facilities, equipment and infrastructure.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, hazards and defects.
• Carry out basic repairs and maintenance tasks within your skills, qualifications and scope.
• Assist with planned and preventative maintenance programs.
• Liaise with hospital staff, contractors and service providers as required.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records relating to maintenance activities and completed work.
• Assist with maintaining a safe, clean and functional environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Follow Workplace Health and Safety, infection prevention and other relevant hospital requirements.
• Support contractors and external service providers when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance practices and processes.
• Undertake other duties as directed by the Facilities or Maintenance Manager.

You Will Also Bring

• Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities or building services role.
• Relevant trade qualification or experience in a maintenance-related field is highly regarded.
• Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to undertake general repairs and maintenance tasks.
