We’re preparing to open a brand-new Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) home in Noble Park and are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Support Worker to help bring this exciting new service to life.

This is a unique opportunity to join from the beginning, helping shape a positive, inclusive and supportive environment where participants, families and staff can thrive. You’ll continue providing direct support while also playing an important leadership role within the home, supporting colleagues, promoting best practice and helping build a strong team culture.

About the Role

As our Senior Support Worker, you’ll remain hands-on in supporting participants while helping drive consistency, quality and positive outcomes across the home.

You will:

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred support that promotes choice, independence and dignity.
• Lead by example and model positive, respectful and inclusive practice.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, support and mentoring to team members.
• Support consistency in service delivery and quality support practices.
• Build positive relationships with participants, families, allied health professionals and colleagues.
• Support the implementation of participant goals, support plans and positive behaviour support strategies.
• Use sound judgement, initiative and problem-solving skills to support positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
• Foster a collaborative team environment where diverse perspectives and experiences are valued.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting people with disability in a person-centred environment.
• Demonstrates strong leadership through their actions, attitude and approach.
• Enjoys mentoring, supporting and encouraging colleagues.
• Communicates openly, respectfully and effectively with a wide range of people.
• Can confidently make decisions, solve problems and take initiative.
• Understands safeguarding, participant rights and quality support practices.
• Is reliable, adaptable and solutions focused.
• Is passionate about creating meaningful outcomes for people with disability.
