Full Time Cleaning Job – Join Our Supportive Team!

About the role

Your primary responsibility will be to provide reliable cleaning coverage across our portfolio of commercial sites. While hours will vary depending on operational requirements, the role will typically operate between approximately 5:00pm and 1:00am. There will also be occasions where daytime work is required, so flexibility with working hours is essential.

Key responsibilities

• Providing cover for annual leave, personal leave and vacant shifts

• Commercial cleaning across a variety of client sites

• Training and supporting new employees onsite

• Demonstrating correct cleaning procedures, site requirements and expected standards

• Assisting new team members to become confident and independent in their roles

• Identifying and reporting cleaning, equipment or site issues

• Maintaining Matthew's Cleaning Co's quality standards across different locations

• Communicating with supervisors and management regarding site and staffing requirements

• Supporting the wider Newcastle team where required

About you

• Previous commercial cleaning experience

• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work

• Excellent reliability and time management

• Confidence working independently

• The ability to train, guide and communicate effectively with new employees

• A positive and professional attitude when attending client sites

• The ability to adapt quickly to different sites and cleaning requirements

• Flexibility to work both afternoon/night shifts and occasional daytime shifts

• A current driver's licence

• Reliable personal transport, as travel between different Newcastle sites will be required
