Food & Beverage Attendant | Rick Stein at Coogee Beach

Celebrated British chef Rick Stein is bringing his renowned philosophy of “fresh seafood, simply prepared” to Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs with the launch of his Australian flagship restaurant at the newly renovated InterContinental Coogee Beach. This stunning 224-seat venue showcases the very best of Australian seafood, prepared with Rick’s signature British flair. 

About the Role 

As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you’ll welcome our guests, recommend food and drinks and keep service on-track and up to standard. By tailoring each guest’s experience to their unique tastes, you’ll create memories as delightful as the dishes.

Your day to day

• Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for every guest, greeting and seating them with genuine hospitality and attention to detail. Recognise returning guest, build rapport and making each visit feel personal.

• Deliver service that reflects the brand, combining professionalism with a natural and engaging approach to hospitality.

• Confidently share knowledge of our food and beverage offerings, making thoughtful recommendations and helping guests enjoy the best possible dining experience.

• Serve food and drinks efficiently and with care, ensuring presentation and timing meet the highest standards.

• Take pride in personal presentation, arriving prepared for each shift and maintaining exceptional grooming and professionalism at all times.

• Maintain clean, organised and welcoming dining and service areas, ensuring all equipment and workspaces meet food safety and hygiene standards.

• Complete opening and closing duties diligently, helping ensure the smooth operation of the venue.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, participate in daily briefings and training, and contribute to a positive, supportive team environment focused on delivering memorable guest experiences.
  

What we need from you

• Valid working rights in Australia (Sponsorship not available)

• Experience working in a fast-paced busy restaurant

• Ability to be on your feet most of the day with lots of bending and kneeling  

• Ability to lift, push and pull large objects like barrels and crates up to 50lbs (23 kg) when required 

• An understanding that night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job 

• As well as meeting local laws on food handling and serving alcohol, you will be above the minimum age required and fluent in English

• A great communicator, you will be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to 

• NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification
